Our
Ministry
Pray First Mission Ministries was founded in 2010 by Apostle Joan and Pastor Ed Henderson in their living room in Hampton, VA. After a decade of dedicated service the Hendersons turned over leadership of Pray First to Pastors Lathaniel and Mar’keta Kirts.
At Pray First we work together to serve our church and the community, while advancing the Kingdom of Jesus. We are a multicultural, multigenerational, prophetic church. Our five-fold ministry equips believers to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in a relevant and transformative way.
Join us Sundays at 10 AM and the 2nd Wednesdays at 6:30 PM at 1110 39th Street Newport News, VA.
OUR MISSION
Prepare the saints for the Lord's Service (Ephesians 4:11-12).
Give an answer to everyone for the hope in us (1 Peter 3:15).
Affirmation for 2024
I boldly and faithfully declare that 2024 is the Year of the Supernatural Shift.
This year there will be a supernatural move of God.
A Supernatural Shift will take place when we faithfully share the wonderful Good News of God’s grace, according to Acts 20:24.
Because I have Christ on my side, I will be able to see miracles, signs and wonders in every aspect of my life.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, I will see change and acceleration all around me.
God is shifting my finances, my family and my future and nothing can stop my momentum.
Ephesian 4:20-24 says I must strip off my old ways and allow the Spirit to shift my thoughts and attitudes.
My prayer and my praise will keep me grounded during the shift this year.
My shift is determined by fully committing to God and constantly pursuing unity and excellence.
This Year of the Supernatural Shift will rest upon me, my household, my church family and my spiritual leadership in the name of Jesus.
